
Nora Zylstra-Savage
She is the founder and owner of Storylines which is an organization that promotes personal self-worth and community appreciation of stories and personal life experiences. During the past 30 years, Nora has offered and taught writing skills through her many programs, courses, workshops and retreats, to assist individuals in documenting their own life stories and tapping into their own creative writing potential. Nora also provided coaching and content-editing services.
Nora has created and facilitated intergenerational memoir based programs with well, frail and seniors with dementia working with high school and middle school students for the past 16 years. The program is called Bridging the Gap, Intergenerational Memoirs. It encourages older adults and youth to discuss, and compare their life experiences. They are captured in a variety of media.
As a teacher and mentor, Nora brings knowledge, humour and sensitivity to all her students and programs alike.
